Matt Small is a London-based painter with a strong, compelling style — primarily known for choosing found, discarded objects as his canvas. Old car bonnets, road signs, oven doors, shelving units, scrap metal — the urban "debris" of city life — replace traditional canvas in his work.

Matt paints striking anonymous portraits of people he photographs on the streets of London. The urban debris he paints on becomes symbolic of the feeling of being without value. As Small explains: "I thought it'd be interesting to connect the two — that oven door, that shelving unit, that piece of trash to someone. I don't see it like that. I see that it can be something beautiful and worthwhile. That's how I see our young people too. Let's look at their potential, at the hope that's in all of them."

Lu, the founder of Music Bumblebees, started her long journey by creating an early learning music program for young children based on aural training from 2008. She put this music program into practice and received an overwhelmingly positive response.

To better achieve her vision and reach a much bigger audience, she began putting this music program into a series of workbooks — hence the creation of the Music Bumblebees Aural and Theory Workbook Series. Since publication in 2010, the product line has expanded to include Music Stationery, Giftware, Accessories, and Instruments. They aim to source the highest quality products for music teachers with younger students, keeping in line with their vision to initiate a music culture for young children and make learning and teaching music fun and enjoyable. Music Bumblebees operates online only and is based in the south side of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Scott L. Christensen is a landscape painter whose work is driven by necessity and deep connection to nature. Painting is not simply the passion of Scott Christensen, it's his necessity, like breathing.

Born in 1962, Christensen grew up in Lander, Wyoming, a place of extreme geography and wild beauty. After a severe football injury in college ended his athletic path, he discovered painting through time spent with his grandfather, an amateur oil painter. Christensen's landscapes balance tradition and innovation, drawing inspiration from masters like Levitan, Mucha, Sorolla, and Zorn. "In many ways, I'm not really painting beaches. I'm painting a state of being. I know how much standing alone on a beach at sunrise can change the way we see our problems, our possibilities, and even ourselves."

Selling her images as jigsaw puzzles has been a highlight of her professional journey. For the past six years, she has elevated her photography skills literally — capturing aerial images via drone. Diego Rivera (1886–1957) was a Mexican painter and muralist whose large-scale works helped establish the Mexican Mural Movement. Renowned for his politically charged imagery and technical mastery of fresco, Rivera's work celebrated labor, industry, and the dignity of working people.

His Detroit Industry Murals, commissioned in 1932 by Edsel Ford and the Detroit Arts Commission, are permanently housed at the Detroit Institute of Arts and are considered among the greatest works of public art in the United States. The murals depict the manufacturing processes of the Ford River Rouge Complex, celebrating the workers, machines, and raw industrial power that defined Detroit at the height of its automotive era.

Frank Lloyd Wright

Richland Center, Wisconsin (1867–1959)

Widely hailed as America's greatest architect, Frank Lloyd Wright was a peerless designer in two dimensions as well as three. Over a career spanning more than seven decades, he produced over 1,000 architectural designs, reshaping American architecture through his philosophy of organic design — the belief that buildings should grow naturally from their environment.

Beyond buildings, Wright was a prolific designer of furniture, textiles, stained glass, and decorative art, believing that every element of space should contribute to a unified aesthetic. His stained glass window designs, often called "light screens," feature geometric abstractions inspired by nature. Wright created Saguaro Forms and Cactus Flowers in 1927/1928 as one of a series of unpublished magazine covers. In the form of a backlit art glass mural constructed by his apprentices, Saguaro Forms now graces the lobby of the Arizona Biltmore resort in Phoenix — a testament to his belief that art and architecture can elevate everyday life.
